Join Hawaii Eco Divers at a BEACH CLEAN UP of Baby Makapu’u Beach Park.

When: Saturday, October 27, 2018; 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Where: Baby Makapu’u Beach (For Google Map directions, type in “Kaupo Bay”)

Why: To make the world a better place!

Cost: Completely free

This will be a fun, wholesome event for all ages! Kids and dogs are welcome. Wear your beach clothes, and feel free to enjoy the day lounging on the beach! Or, get ready to pick up some garbage. Bags and gloves will be provided.

Baby Makapu’u Beach is a beautiful area with natural tidepools along the shore. There is abundant sea life, and tons of turtles! Unfortunately, the crazy amount of trash and litter has clogged the shore, ruining this spot for many families with young ones.

The abundant turtle population in the area is at risk as they often mistake this trash for food. The reef fish population is dying out as the reef looses its health due to the pollution.

Let’s clean up this beach park together!
