KAYAKING IN OAHU

Explore Oahu can be even prettier and adventurous on a kayak tour. The views are completely breathtaking and you will have a different perspective of Hawaii’s beautiful scenarios of the North Shore and have the opportunity to interact respectfully with the marine life.

All ages are welcome to do a kayak tour with Hawaii Eco Divers and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. It is a great family activity! There are no weight restrictions and we provide life jackets for those who want them. We emphasize a safety briefing and kayaking skills management in all our tours. All our guides are Emergency First Responders.

KAYAKING SPOTS:

The most common tour is at Haleiwa Beach and River Tours, since it can be done all year long. It is a 2 hour  ride include giant sea turtles, endemic birds and botanicals. We start on the beach/ocean exploring Puaena Point and it’s beautiful coastline, following by a up river kayak tour where we will be able to paddle among dozens of Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles.

During Summer, we can also explore Waimea Bay onboard of a kayak. Some experience and swimming abilities is necessary for this tour, recommended for more advanced kayakers. It lasts 3-4 hours and we start this tour from Three Tables Beach and paddle towards  Waimea Bay. It is possible to see spinner dolphins that come to rest in the Bay every morning on the summer time. After, we will head towards Shark’s Cove where we are going to snorkel at a very pristine area well known for it’s abundance in marine life and amazing rock formation (snorkeling gear is included on the price).

Another option is to ride from Sunset Beach to Waimea Bay on a kayak. This intermediate-advance Oahu kayak tour can also be done on the Summer only and requires swimming habilities. It starts at Sunset Beach, on the North Shore, and then we will kayak drift 4 miles downwind towards Waimea Bay. Good chances of seeing dolphins and turtles along the way. We will also stop at Shark’s Cove and snorkel as well and interact with Hawaiian marine life.
